In many assembly operations continuous flow principle is applied for a successful lean manufacturing.
In such operations the product is assembled often on a special cart travelling on a special rail system or a conveyor.
In case of a cart/rail system, the cart is moved along the work stations where specific assembly jobs are performed.
Such systems are called Factory Intra-logistics.
